Solutions Review

At this one-day program, all qualified solutions will be assessed, and an application compatibility report will be issued. What's more, this is your opportunity to test your existing product on Windows Server and SQL Server 2008. Await your invite for the Solutions Review soon!

Hands-On Labs

This series of instructor-led labs has been designed to impart hands-on knowledge of working on the technologies pertinent to your project. That's not all. you can get expert advice on choosing the right Microsoft tools for your needs.

This program will be held close on the heels of some deep dive sessions. Once you have passed through the entire process and delivered a solution, Microsoft will join forces with you to help promote the same.

We’re almost at the end of the first run of Innovation.NEXT(). The past month we ran hands on labs on the following topics:

• Silverlight 2 for Designers
• Silverlight 2 for Developers
• SQL Server 2008

Today Is the first day of our Application Immersion where participants of the program are being housed here at the Microsoft Office to develop the prototype of their Rich Internet Application. We’ve met with 3 partners today and we have 5 more coming throughout the week. Some interesting applications are being built and I’m excited to see what the rest of the batch is going to come up with. Stay tuned!

The Partner Online Technical Communities provide free online technical support service for partners as part of their Microsoft Partner Program benefits. The Online Technical Communities are staffed weekdays by Microsoft Support Professionals to answer break-fix and presales technical questions.

There are now six exclusive communities based on partner type and level (with varying SLAs):

- Windows Vista Online Technical Community (OTC) (open to Reg/Cert/Gold) 4-hr break-fix SLA; 8-hr presales SLA

- Gold Certified and Certified Partners OTC (open to Cert/Gold only) 4-hr break-fix SLA; 8-hr presales SLA

- ISV and Web Solution Partners  OTC (open to Reg/Cert/Gold – targeting ISVs, Empower for ISVs, and Web Solution Partners) 8-hr SLA

- SBSC OTC (partners in the Small Business Specialist Community (SBSC)) 4-hr break-fix SLA

- MAPS OTC (open to registered partners with MAPS subscription) 8-hr SLA

- Community for All Partner Levels (open to Reg/Cert/Gold) one business day SLA – over 70 products supported.

As spoken during the Discover Sessions, we will be having our Solution Review Session from June 2-6 and we have 15 slots to fill from the 3 Discover Events that we had. In order to make sure you get yourselves a slot in the session, please go through the the following checklist:

We will be filtering through the solution maps within the next few days and will get in touch with you whether we can slot you in for this round of the Solution Review. Make sure to be as detailed as possible in your project description so we will be able to gauge whether or not the program will be right for you or not. Pay extra attention to your program description, calling out your Silverlight application's functional requirements. Also do the same for your User Interface. Wireframes will be good, but if you can provide more graphic detail, that would be better. If you haven't filled this out (in the detail that we require) please send your documents to helen@swap.com.sg

____    I have an existing .NET / PHP application that I would like to test on Windows Server 2008 * (optional

When Helen gives you a call, make sure to give her information so we can slot you in to our Application Compatibility Sessions. We will be running 2 types of App Compat labs: a .NET application compatibility lab where in you can test your existing .NET Applications on Windows Server 2008. We will need information such as your .NET version number and SQL Server version number (because of course you will have a database) so we can have an appropriate Virtual Machine created for you to do testing.

We will also have a separate PHP+MySQL application compatibility testing lab that will be done at a later date. Make sure you inform Helen of your interest so that we can slot you accordingly.

Once you have the above done, we let you choose an available 2-hour slot at anytime from between June 2-6, 2008 to have the Solution Review with our consultant. We only have 15 slots available for next week and Solution Maps will be processed on a first-come-with-very-detailed-solution-maps, first served basis so make sure you submit them ASAP.

Thank you very much to everyone who attended the first Discover event. For those still thinking of whether or not they have an application they would like to develop through this program, you will find the templates for the Company Profile & Solution Map in this folder:

We're currently on the lookout for Partners that are interested in building the next generation web applications using Microsoft Technologies.

The program aims to bring web focused partners through a series of activities that will take them through Solution or Application reviews, enablement through Hands-on Labs, and a full day application immersion wherein partners can bring in their applications and have consultants on standby to help resolve any issues in your application development.
